Finvest Corp d.d. is the successor to a long and rich
sawmill tradition which started in the mid-17th century.
The first steam machines in the wood industry of Southern and Southeastern Europe were installed in the premises of our company in the mid-19th century. With the modernization and expansion of the product range, wood processing was increased from the mid-20th century and several modern sawmills were opened. Sawmills in all major parts of the town Čabar, sawmills Gerovo, Čabar, Prezid und Tršće were part of a unique wood industry.
The green heart of Croatia, Gorski kotar, is rich in forests.
They account for more than 85% of the total territory.
That is why wood industry is the most important economy
branch of our region.
Finvest Corp d.d. gathered all of its business operations
in Gerovo, the primary sawmill and wood pallet production.
